Three of us on the line at last

Filed by the crew of Caliente

Three Hot Foots made the same start. Nobody could remember the last time that happened, so we made a bit of a thing of it.

Fifteen knots, flat water, one lap of the harbour course. Fetish got the pin end and held it. We were second off the line and spent the whole beat looking at her transom, which is a fair summary of the day.

Downwind was the fun part. All three up on the plane at once, close enough to talk. The old girls still go.

Beer afterwards, and a plan for four boats next month.

Light air, long night, good result

Filed by Slick

Two boats entered. Six knots at the gun and less after dark. A light boat is not a bad place to be in that.

We ghosted past a lot of expensive boats around three in the morning and nobody said anything, which we took as a compliment.

Corrected out well up the division. Full results on the organiser's site.

Hull 19 is out of the weeds

Filed by her new owner

Found her behind a shed with a tree growing through the pushpit. Paid almost nothing. Ten weeks of sanding later she is back in the water and floating on her lines.

Sails are shot. Everything else is fine. See you on the line in the fall.
