Lightweight, balanced rudder, simple setup
Reaching kite, rig setup, crew still learning the boat
Reasonably good sails. They are older but have not been used a lot.
Our downwind speed isn't great. Still learning as we just got her November 2025
Fair bottom, 2:1 runners to get some semblance of forestay tension.
Rudder is hung super crooked- on the list to fix next haul out. Only just balanced it in summer 2026. Furler, helps for teaching newbies but not fast.
Crew, and knowing the Valley and wind patterns. Being able to shift gears (amount of sail area)
Not managing weight distribution, not changing gears quickly.
Hull numbers with nothing next to them. If you have ever seen one of these, even years ago, that helps.
